The love of our lives

It took 9 months to bake in my oven.... 9 months to prepare for what was going to be the best ride of my life.

We were prepared, had his nursery all ready, all diapers and clothes purchased and even his name picked out. It hit the 9 month mark.... and no baby! I ended up scheduling to be induced 3 days after my due date. I was supposed to come in at 8am Friday morning, then they call me and tell me they don't have room for me yet and to wait a couple hours! How could they??? That was the longest period of my life.... to wait to go to the hospital. Then came 3pm and we were able to "check in"! I was induced. I wasn't able to eat the whole time, so that was 26 hours of chomping on ice chips, pretending it was a burger or pizza... and let me tell you that I was starving!!!

Now what I am going to tell you might really make you hate me!

So I had an epidural while I was 4 1/2 cm dilated at 4am sat morning. At noon, yes 8 hours later I was ale to push. I swear that I was a freak or that the epi they gave me had super hero power. I pushed and pushed and never broke a sweat. Even between pushes I would texts my family and friends to update them haha! Who does that???

Well about 2 hours later, yes I pushed for 2 hours, without pan, without breaking a sweat, with a smile on my face the whole time, out came my love! The first cry you hear is the most wonderful sound in the world, you just cannot explain what it means to give birth.

I mean I love my husband, I truly love him more than anything. But the love you have for your baby is so overwhelming you cannot even describe it.

Born April 25, 2009 at 1:57pm weighing in at 8lbs 14oz and measuring 21 and 1/2 inches long.... GAGE HENRY ROBERTS (spoken in my boxer announcer voice of course)
